It’s the midweek already, the possibility of being tired and exhausted might be on the high because of the high demands we need to meet at work and at home, it’s a good thing we have a father – God, that cares about us and has promised to meet all our needs. This means we can always turn to him for strength whenever we are weary and we feel like giving up.
These are 5 bible verses we can access strength from.
Isaiah 40:29 : He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
This bible verse shows us God is not only strong but he also gives strength to his children who feel weary and are on the verge of giving up. He would energize their mind and mortal bodies and make them feel whole again. What a great God!
Isaiah 40:31 : But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint
Again God reaffirms his promise on giving us the strength we need on our journey through life, he goes on to say he would not only give us strength but he will give us hope. Eagle here is symbolic, they are not easily defeated which means God will give us the type of strength that will make it hard for us to be defeated by our enemies and he will keep us far from danger.
2 Corinthians 12:9 : But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
This verse shows us that being weak is nothing to be ashamed off, and when we are weak, stressed and exhausted his grace will be sufficient for us; he would help us carry on when our human strength fails us . He will rekindle our power and help us stay motivated.
Psalm 46: 1 : God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
This right here should be one of our favourite bible verses, it is all-encompassing, we can run to God when we feel the world is turning against us and we can call on him to help us when we feel depressed or we are simply unhappy about an event that occurred.
Psalm 119:28 : My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your words
When we go to the Lord’s presence with this psalm, we are reminding him he his a covenant keeping God and he has promised us his words won’t go back to him void! And when we repeatedly say this words he moves in our favour and does what only him is capable of doing.
Ephesians 6:10 : Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power
Ending help 101 with this verse, we serve a God who is strong and might power believe him to give you strength to go through whatever phase of life you’re in at the moment. In him we can trust and rely on, he never fails!
