A Pedriatic Doctor, Dr Alastair McAlpine conducted research at the terminal paediatric palliative Care unit by asking his young patients what they had enjoyed most about life.
Many of them had valued time with their pets, family, friends and people who had been kind to them. None of them had mentioned television or anything material.
The thread is a startling reminder to smell the roses and be thankful for what we have no matter how seemingly minute it might look. It’s a reminder to spend time building memories with family and loved ones as life is in fact, a gift.
